On 27 July, the Yass District Carnival for Track and Field was held as part of School Sports NSW.
A big shout out to a couple of our Little Athletes:
Teuila Teofilo:
Teuila is off to Regionals after a great set of results at District.
She won 100m, 200m (gaining a PB here for the 200m), long jump and high jump (getting the record at 1.15m). She couldn’t get over the 1.20m bar as she was so understandably exhausted.
Teuila also came in second for both the 1500m and 800m.
Kyla Mumberson:
Kyla also had a fantastic day of running at District, winning her 800m and 1500m races.
As a 7 year old (in the 8yo age group), her performance is especially noteworthy as they combine 8 & 9 years age groups together.
On behalf of the Club, well done Teuila and Kyla on your exceptional performances and we look forward to hearing about Regionals to be held on 2 September.

We try to stay across the results of our Little Athletes within the School Sports system (in both NSW and ACT), however if we have missed a performance that deserves a shout out, please let us know so we can celebrate the success of our kids.
ACT Zone Carnivals are set to run across August with Belconnen based schools holding their Zone meet on 18 August at the AIS.
