Murrumbateman Little Athletics Club hosted our first Cross Country event on Sunday 29 May, 2022. The Stormers were blown away by the support from our Little Athletics and Murrumbateman Community, and by any measure our event was a big success!
The event was the second of three Cross Country races for the region as part of the RunACT Junior – Little Athletics Cross Country Series.
Despite very cold and windy conditions, a total of 59 runners and their families joined us in Murrumbateman for the event.
Athletes came from 8 athletics clubs in the region, and over half of the runners had travelled from Canberra to attend.
A big congratulations to our Race Director and Stormers Head Coach, Kane Fillingham for all of his hard work and organisation to make this event happen.
And many thanks to all of our volunteers, for braving the cold to help us make the event such a success!
