Session #7 – 19/2/2025
Hitting our stride in the second half of the season Stormers! Please read on for some important info for this week:
After our initial Race Walk session was cancelled due to rain, we are very lucky our special guest coaches will be back and we are trying again! Olympic racewalkers Brendon Reading (AUS) and Evan Dunfee (CAN) will be leading the U8s and above in some racewalking skills sessions, culminating in a ~700m (U8/U9s), 1100m (U10/U11s) and 1500m (12+) racewalk for the final session. Council are currently sealing the ring road around the oval, which means it is a construction area and half of the road is closed. Please take care, go slowly and keep everyone safe. Those waiting on uniforms, a major delay means they are not ready to be distributed as we had hoped. We will be in touch soon with more info. We still have lots of our previous season uniforms for sale. $5 each, cash or card. Come and see us at the rego desk. We need help each week with setup of equipment from 5.30pm and pack up at the end of the session until 8pm. If you can help please let us know. The Session plan shows events and times for each age group, our map below shows where each event is held.
