Session #9 – 7/2/24
Welcome back for another week of little athletics Stormers!
Starting off our update with the very exciting news from last weeks’ ‘Sprints Battle of the Ages’ that our U6 and U11/12 groups were a tie and all those athletes win both bragging rights AND a free sausage sizzle this week! Congratulations!

Our Grounds Manager Adam still needs a couple of parent helpers. Please send us a message if you can spare a couple of hours once every few months to help mow, whipper snip and line mark our areas at the Rec Grounds. End of Season Awards call for nominations:
Many of our awards for the end of season presentation are selected by Age Managers and Coaches. However two award categories are open to nominations from anyone in the club. Please email President@murrumbatemanlittleathletics.com.au by 12 February if you would like to nominate someone for one of the following:
– Club Person of the Year: A Stormer athlete who demonstrates attributes such as sportsmanship, determination, resilience, participation and enthusiasm across all of the age groups.
– Volunteer of the Year: Someone who has given the Club much of their time in contributing to the function and success of what we do. There are a lot of quiet achievers among our volunteers who put in considerable amounts of time for the betterment of our Club. The Stormers committee are meeting this Thursday 8/2 at the Murrumbateman Pub at 7pm. We will be discussing items relating to the end of the season including the awards presentation and forward planning for our AGM in July. All are welcome, and we encourage families to be part of the discussions. Dates for your diaries:
– Last training session for season 2023/24 – 28 February
– Season presentation event – 6 March
